Wetlands

This layer shows wetlands in Newton. These were originally mapped by the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Some of the wetlands have been updated after site visits and where wetlands have been marked with flags, the boundaries have been adjusted. The wetlands shown in this data layer are for planning purposes only. Wetlands boundary determination for other purposes, such as the Wetlands Protection Act MA Act M.G.L. c. 131 or local by-laws, must use the relevant procedures and criteria.
